Trinity Events enters the Iran market following a new partnership with BHB Emissary

23.01.2017

Trinity Events, Russia’s leading business conference organizer is set to benefit from the immense opportunities in post-sanctions Iran, following a partnership with BHB Emissary, the organizer of the Europe-Iran Forum - the leading Iran business and economic conference. This new partnership is implemented via Trinity’s division, Adam Smith Conferences, and it combines BHB Emissary’s proven Iran expertise with Adam Smith Conferences/ Trinity’s two decades of experience in organizing large-scale business forums targeting emerging markets.

The Europe-Iran Forum was the first international business conference to focus on Iran’s post-sanctions opportunities by leveraging the power of "business diplomacy". The forum has helped define the connection between Iran’s economic success and improved international relations, in particular by highlighting the potential for leadership in Iran’s vibrant private sector. Successful events in London (2014), Geneva (2015), and Zurich (2016) have established the Europe-Iran Forum as the key annual gathering of senior business leaders, investors, and policymakers who are setting the agenda for Iran’s post-sanctions development. The 4th Europe-Iran Forum will be held in Switzerland in October 2017.

Each year, the Europe-Iran Forum gathers 500 senior delegates from over twenty countries. The forum has welcomed speakers from many of the world’s largest companies such as Philips, Ericsson, Sanofi, Scania, and WPP, as well as senior executives from Iran’s largest banking, FMCG, pharmaceutical, and industrial companies. Uniquely among Iran conferences, the Forum has also welcomed senior European and American policymakers and officials from the United Nations as speakers.

“As we mark the first anniversary of Implementation Day, when Iran received significant sanctions relief, the country’s economic development is reaching a new stage. In order to continue to meet the needs of our influential network of business leaders, the Europe-Iran Forum also needs to reach a new stage. Our partnership with Trinity brings together an experienced and professional team and I am excited about what we can achieve,” says Esfandyar Batmanghelidj, the founder of the Europe-Iran Forum.

“We believe that the clear momentum in Iran’s economic growth and inbound investment will help to expand the regional horizons of the forum. Our goal is to welcome business leaders and policymakers not only from Europe, but globally,” remarks Constantine Bridgeman, CEO of Trinity Events Group.

The organizers plan to welcome large Russian companies to the forum next year. Representatives of the Russian financial sector (e.g. VTB Capital, Baring Vostok Capital Partners, Renaissance Capital) have already taken part in previous editions of the Europe-Iran Forum, but interest in Iran from the Russian business can been seen across sectors, including energy, retail, and manufacturing. International development and geographic diversification are strategic priorities for Trinity Events Group. The Group includes Adam Smith Conferences, infor-media Russia, BBCG and Exposystems which altogether hold over 60 events per year in emerging markets, including: Russia, CIS, Central and Eastern Europe, Mexico and the UAE.
