Retail in Russia session at Euroshop 2017

BBCG together with Messe Düsseldorf Moscow took part in EuroShop 2017, the largest international trade fair. The Meeting Point Russia, their collaborative booth, worked through all five days of the exhibition. The Meeting Point Russia represented the Russian retail sector at EuroShop 2017. Russian companies and their partners met at this stand, participants at the fair came here to share their experience and latest news of retail industry.

One of important events at EuroShop 2017 was Retail Russia, a special session in the English language. The session took place on the 8th of March at ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN pavilion and not only attracted dozens of Russian partners, but also caught the interest of many international colleagues.

The key topics for discussion were the following:

- Macroeconomic trends and forecasts on the growth dynamics in 2017

- Retail market and strategies of the leading retailers

- Key trends of technological modernization of online and offline retailers

- Practical examples of implementation of innovative technologies by retailers on international and local levels

The Russian retail session came back to EuroShop after a long break. The retail market had been suffering a setback, but then the situation settled down. The market leaders are ready for the new opportunities and challenges of the international retail industry.

Alexey Filatov, Chairman of the Board, BBCG: “One of highlights of the session was the presentation of Polina Leontieva, a young designer from Dusseldorf. She spoke about interesting, from her point of view, projects in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. In particular, the idea of Cosmotheca shop in Au Pont Rougeс department store in St. Petersburg with automated feed of purchases to the saleroom that she mentioned was obviously the peak trend of Euroshop 2017”.
